Add Your Name to the List of Supporters for Small Donor Matching Systems

Throughout the campaign to realize a small donor matching system in Illinois, many elected officials, community organizers, and industry leaders have voiced their support for this important initiative. These allies helped make it possible for us to move forward in our mission to reduce the power of special interests in our campaigns.bcf1bd92-92ca-434a-b582-4c5704b3273d

One of these important leaders has been 49th Ward Alderman Joe Moore, who sponsored an ordinance in the Chicago City Council to put a small donor matching system referendum on the citywide ballot. Alderman Moore said of the recently approved advisory referendum, “The overwhelming vote in support of the referendum demonstrates that public financing of elections is an idea whose time has come.” He continued, “I look forward to working with the next mayor and the members of the City Council to turn this advisory referendum into a law that will transform how we conduct elections in this City.”

Now you can sign your name to the list of supporters to make a Small Donor Matching System a reality. Join Alderman Moore and others from across Illinois in forming an inclusive, grassroots group of supporters committed to transparency and openness in campaigns.
