“A liquor license hearing scheduled for Wednesday could decide the future of a troubled Dolton nightclub where five people were shot on Mother’s Day.

The Village of Dolton has said it’s seeking to revoke the club’s liquor license because Club One was not authorized to sell booze and its operators were wrongfully using the license that belonged to Mucho Gusto LLC, whose principal operator, former state lawmaker Robert Terzich, owns the building, records show.

Mayor Riley Rogers, who is expected to oversee the hearing, has received more than $5,000 in campaign contributions from people connected to the club, according to records filed with the Illinois State Board of Elections. A Daily Southtown investigation also found Club One’s operators previously were rebuffed for a liquor license from the village and that one of them is prohibited by law from holding a license because of his criminal history.”
