Emanuel, Garcia try to quickly ramp up voter turnout efforts

Mayor Rahm Emanuel and challenger Jesus “Chuy” Garcia spent months pushing supporters to vote in February’s first round of balloting. The result was a low voter turnout.

Now, both sides are back at it ahead of the April 7 runoff election, only this time they have just a little more than four weeks to re-identify supporters and re-engage them enough to get them to vote in higher numbers.
