Florida’s capital city sues to keep ethics reform off November ballot

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — When it comes to ethics reform, Florida’s capital city isn’t exactly leading by example.
Tallahassee officials are trying to block a voter-backed ethics measure from appearing on the November ballot, despite the reform proposal garnering more than twice the amount of needed petition signatures.But don’t blame state lawmakers. This time, it’s city government.
How? By suing Citizens for Ethics Reform, the bipartisan group that obtained them.
