Hanauer touts record against newcomers in Ward 10

Ralph Hanauer bided his time in seeking political office locally. He was rewarded with the backing of the Sangamon County Republican Party’s executive committee for the Ward 10 City Council race in 2015.

With that nod from the Republicans again, Hanauer is seeking another four-year term, saying he has saved city taxpayers money by cutting from the City Water, Light and Power budget and by beefing up the city treasurer’s collection system.

Hanauer is also eyeing a capital plan to improve roads in the ward, the southwest boundary of the city.
