Something evil is lurking in Illinois government. It’s not corruption and deliberate malfeasance, though there certainly is enough of that.
This is more mundane. It’s your debt.
We prefer to ignore bad realities and pretend they don’t exist. The public pension systems in Illinois are a mess that’s been ignored for 20 years.
But that time is rapidly ending.
