Judge set to rule on term limits, remap lawsuit

CHICAGO (AP) — A Cook County judge is expected to decide later in the day if two measures calling for term limits and a new political mapmaking process can go on the November ballot.

Cook County Judge Mary Mikva plans to issue a written decision Friday on whether the signature-driven initiatives are constitutional. She could rule both are fine for the ballot, reject both or make a split decision.
