Keeping the Public Informed on Ethics Legislation
In the final hours of the lame duck session of the 101st General Assembly, lawmakers hurriedly introduced and attempted to pass an ethics bill with major policy changes that had not been seen by members of the public. Reform for Illinois joined with other good government groups in a statement calling for a transparent process with stakeholder input.
