“In response to damaging revelations about questionable uses of taxpayer dollars, Lincoln-Way High School District 210 officials have repeatedly said that the school board did not know about or approve questionable deals, such as Superdog or the former superintendent’s reclassification of millions in bond money.
That’s drawn criticism from parents and some Lincoln-Way residents who say the school district’s elected officials failed to provide oversight of the cash-strapped district’s administrators.
Now some community members are questioning another element of board members’ service: their attendance. But the school district’s president said in a statement that board members keep up on district business even when they’re absent from meetings.”
