“State Senator Kwame Raoul leads in contributions among Democratic candidates seeking to replace incumbent Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan.
With nearly three months to go, Raoul is ahead of the pack with $598,478 in campaign contributions, according to the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform. Former Independent Police Review Agency Chief Sharon Fairley is second with $340,950. Rounding out the top five are attorney and former interim CEO of the Chicago Board of Education Jesse Ruiz, State Rep. Scott Drury and Highland Park Mayor Nancy Rotering. Former Governor Patt Quinn is in sixth place with $234,491 in contributions.
On the Republican side, Harvard-educated attorney Erika Harold leads with $175,897 in contributions.”
