RFI ED writes letter to the editor in support of RCV
“This Election Day, Evanston voters will decide on a referendum that would make the northern suburb the first place in Illinois to adopt ranked-choice voting. If it passes, Evanstonians will get a more powerful voice in their democracy. They could also get rid of their low-turnout municipal primaries, enjoy more civil campaigns and elect more city officials who can build consensus — all sorely needed in today’s politics.” RFI ED Alisa Kaplan wrote a letter to the editor in support of the ranked choice voting referendum in Evanston, which was published in the Chicago Tribune.
