“The latest campaign cash reports show one Democrat may be pulling away from the pack in the race to challenge U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam, R-Wheaton.
And in the contest for governor, Daniel Biss is running his first TV ads, having raised more at this point than any candidate except GOP incumbent Bruce Rauner and fellow Democratic challenger J.B. Pritzker, both of whom effectively are self-financing their races.
Here’s the latest:
The campaign of community activist and breast cancer survivor Kelly Mazeski reported she’s pulled in more than $680,000 to date and, more important, has $510,000 left to spend before the March primary. That’s a lot more than any other Democrat had in the last round of Federal Election Commission disclosures, but it helps to be able to loan yourself $295,000, as Mazeski has. And she still raised about $163,000 from others in the quarter ended Dec. 31.”
