“Using his official credit card, Lawrence Wyllie charged nearly $30,000 in expenses to Lincoln-Way High School District 210 as the district’s financial condition deteriorated, newly released records show.
During his last three years as superintendent, billing records show, Wyllie paid for meals, bought hundreds of leadership books, spent taxpayer money on dozens of sweaters and ordered a $106 teddy bear for his office, among other expenses.
Wyllie also used his district credit card to purchase two dog training books – a noteworthy expense in light of Wyllie’s decision to spend nearly $45,000 on renovating a Lincoln-Way North barn for a private dog trainer to hold classes.”
