Dr. Ron Michaelson served in Illinois government for 33 years, 27 of which as Executive Director of the Illinois State Board of Elections. He currently has a joint appointment as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Studies and as a Research Fellow with the Institute for Legal, Legislative and Policy Studies. He earned his Ph.D. in Government at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
